VOCATIONAL ACTIVITIES

Cheshire Homes India–Chennai (CCH), has successfully completed 57 years of distinguished service in the cause of differently abled persons with multiple disabilities (PWD) and children with mental retardation, by providing shelter, food, clothing, medical help / counselling, mobility appliances, and care as also vocational training, placement and rehabilitation.

Self-Help Group

A Vocational Training Unit for the disabled and unprivileged women was established in 2005 sponsored by LIFE NGO which supported the families of over 100 fisherwomen following the disastrous tsunami in December 2004.

Vocational Training

Our young male MR residents are engaged in paper craft recycling newspaper into paper bags, and candles to order at festival times.

Early Intervention

Thus CCH facilitates the Corporates in fulfilling their Social Responsibility at the same time ensuring that the welfare Schemes of the Government for the PWDs reaches them.
